Hi! I’m John Gross. I added the B because it’s funny. Like someone is saying, “John Be Gross! Ew!” I like to write. I’ve never had a blog, but I talk to myself all the time. I’m just gonna start writing my thoughts down. If I want to be full of myself and pretentious (who doesn’t?), then I can say things like “production” to refer to Counter Cult. In reality, it came together by accident. That’s shortchanging myself. I’m talented enough. Still, I always think back and shudder at my first draft. I tried and tried to add things to make the story work. In reality, I just needed to use what I had. That’s my number one piece of advice. I think all of us know how to tell stories. So, even if you’ve never written before, just by being human, something about your story will work. Even if nothing else does, if you lean into what you have, what works, you’ll pull the story together. That’s how I’m able to finish books. So, anyway. Welcome to the blog! I can’t believe I’ve made it this far. And if I can do it, so can you. Thanks for floating with me.
